shadow slapped cody om the back. he felt uncomfortable doing it but he said "i know you hate orders but go find light" he looked at the new girl and his sword shrunk to a large dagger. "come here" he pointed at a pew. he went and grabbed some more water but a cup as well.

Cody listened to Selene's explanation. It seemed genuine, but her tiger instincts were still in gear and she still did not trust this girl. That was when a hand came down on her back. She tensed momentarily and then listened to Shadow speak. She sighed, but decided to do as told. She ran outside and found Light in her leopard form sitting in a tree. Hey, Light. You should come inside. There's someone else there.

Selene was still unable to relax as the sword shifted into a dagger. She followed the humals instructions and sat down on the pew, tenser than she had been in a long time. She watched him with wary eyes, wondering if he meant her any harm or not. A familiar screech filled the air and her eyes quickly scanned the room for a pair of amber eyes. The falcon came out of nowhere, dive bombing the humal.

Luna, no! The falcon pulled up and then soared over to Selene, perching on her shoulder. The falcon eyed Shadow carefully. Easy, girl. He hasn't tried anything yet. I'm safe for now. She looked back at Shadow, hoping he wouldn't be too upset. I'm sorry. Luna is a bit protective of me.

Light quietly hopped down from the tree and went back into the church.

shadow smiled slightly thinking of light "i know how she feels"
he sat down beside the girl and her falcon and grabbed the girls hand and wrapping her fingers around the cup holding it steady as he poured the water in "drink " he ordered "you don't want to get dehydrated"

Cody followed Light back into the church. A falcon was now sitting perched on Selene's shoulder. She smiled slightly when Light greeted the girl and falcon kindly. She obviously saw no danger, and Cody trusted Light.

Selene smiled shyly at Shadow as he handed her the cup and told her to drink. She lifted the cup to her lips and took a sip. The cool water ran down her throat and reminded her of how thirsty she actually was. Her next sip was more of a gulp and nearly half the water was gone at that point. Thanks. she said before taking another sip.

That was when Cody returned behind another girl. The other girl greeted both her and Luna by name. She tensed slightly for a moment. Luna chirped approvingly at being stroked. Nice to meet you too... I think... she added silently.
