shadow had the bar off and he pushed against the door to open it.
he was shocked and happy to find no one not even a body but the room was empty and he crumpled to the floor laying his back on a near by pew/bench. "i hope they got out in time, what monster would attack a place of a god? " he said his voice showing how tired he was

Light sighed.
They had to have had a reason, do you know anyone who talked about having a grudge on this place. Light walked over and sat down on the pew next to his head.

shadow shook his head slowly then stopped "the high priest, he hated me, felt some of the brothers didn't devote themselves enough..." he sighed "but then again i haven't been here for a few years..."

Light stroked her fingers through his hair and motion for Cody to come have a seat.
ok the High Priest, and is there anything signifigant about the hands being cut off?

shadow closed his eyes slowly shaking his head yet again

Light closed her eyes.
How long do you think they've been dead?

"half an hour maybe" he answered

Cody followed Shadow and Light and looked around. There were no bodies there that she could see or smell. Noticing Light motioning for her to have a seat, she shifted into her human form and sat down next to her. She listened to Light's questions and Shadow's answers. Cody had never been to this particular church and so knew nothing about anyone that would do such a thing. The only thing she knew at this moment was that anger was starting to bubble inside her at the murder of the monks.

Ok its cuting it close, but I think maybe I can link minds with one of the dead monks. Light took in a deep breath then stood. She started to go to where they monk with his hads cut off was.

Cody wondered if that was really possible. Of course, she didn't know the extent of Light's powers. She ran her fingers through her black hair as she watched Light walk away back toward the dead monks. She twisted one of her orange locks of hair in her fingers.
"So, you were close to them?" she asked. She wasn't sure if she was genuinely interested or just wanted to avoid and awkward silence. Either way, she had asked the question and there was no taking it back.

"not really" shadow answered shortly not realizing the girl wanted to break the silence.

Light reached the first dead monk that they had seen. She avoided looking at the handless arms and nelt down next to his head.
I hope you dont mind, me taking a peak in your mind.
As she was saying it she cut the palm of her hand. She traced different symboles on the dead mans head and her own. When she was finished taking a deep breath she placed her forehead on the monks. SHe entered his mind. Most of it was dark lifeless but there was a sliver of blue she willed it to come to her and what she did a scream sounded. After a few moments she reaised that it was her sceam. She felt her hands being cut off as she blacked out.

shadow was bolt upright when his ears heard lights scream he zoomed out to her as he saw she blacked out he lifted her up and brought her back to the bench and layed her down wiping the blood of her brow.

Cody's head whipped around at the sound of Light's scream. Before she could even think about standing up, Shadow was gone to find her. He returned with a blacked out Light in his arms. Cody moved off the bench as he laid her down and she looked over her.
Is she... alright?

shadow shrugged as he pulled off his coat and layed it over light to keep her warm. he then took off his shirt and rolled it up creating a makeshift pillow "Cody go outside and find he pack i must have dropped it some where out there when the first monk fell" shadow whirled around and strode across the room and found a bowl of water and used it to clean lights forehead and hand.

Cody nodded and, shifting back into tiger form, ran back outside. Normally she would have snapped at him for ordering her around, but this was different... Light was hurt. She glanced around outside and saw the pack Shadow was talking about. She shifted back into human form, picked up the pack and ran back to where Shadow and Light were. She put the pack beside Shadow and leaned against the next pew and did all she could do... watch and wait.

Light felt herself being pulled back down to earth with a sudden shock she jumped up shifting into her leopard form. Moving away from the worm blurs she bolted out of the church in a sprint. She found a tall thick tree and climbed up it curling up on the highest branch that could support her. She blinked several times her bloodshot eyes burning.

shadow clenched his teeth and rammed his hand inside the pack he muffled his pain as the iron brushed his hand. he searched rapidly to find the one item he was looking for, with drawing his hand he held a sphere and small bag of herbs and salts. he traced a square on the surface of the sphere and the glass shimmered shadow dumped the bags contents in quickly. shadow then moved for the water bowl he had moved over to light pouring the bowls contents in sloppily and swirled the sphere twice them placed light's paw on it "call to a medic " he said than waited for the answer ignore this post

Heavy eyelids slowly opened, revealing the golden-orange irises that had been hidden underneath. She scanned the small hiding spot she was in. Her eyes fell upon the small beam of light that shone into the small area through a tiny crack in the wall. The crack wasn't enough to see through, though... so she couldn't see anything outside of her hiding place.

She pushed herself up onto her knees, her head pounding. What had happened? It had all been so fast. She tried to collect her thoughts. She had been in a pew minding her own business. Someone, most likely one of the monks, had suddenly cried out. Someone had grabbed her and pushed her into this little hiding place. Then it was only sound... the monks crying out in pain. She covered her ears, hearing the screams once again.

Cody, go outside and find the pack. I must have dropped it out there somewhere when the first monk fell.

Selene froze. There were people there? When had she passed out? How long had it been? She slowly pushed the hidden door open a tiny bit and peered out the small opening. There was two people standing and someone else lying on one of the pews. The girl standing left and then returned with a bag. The person on the pew jumped up, shifted into a leopard and bolted out of the room. Were the other two harming her in some way?

Fear and excitement came over her at the same time. She wasn't sure whether or not to expose herself or duck back into the security of the hiding place. She couldn't stay there forever... But she really didn't want to face humans if that's what these two were. Wait... the girl had shifted into a tiger. So she wasn't human. Selene studied the male for a moment. He had ears. Humal. Humal? She was part humal. The long, wiry strands of hair that formed her tail proved so. But were they friendly?

She remained where she was, completely terrified. Her heart pounded against her chest and she was sure they must hear it. Sighing, she slowly pushed the hidden door all the way open and climbed out of the place. She stretched her cramped limbs, but did not move any closer to the two.

H-hello...

shadow looked after the running leopard that was light. he sighed ready to go after her when he heard a H-hello... he turned his tail whipping around him and his blade materialized in his palm but he lovered it when he saw a girl she seemed to be around 15 years old Who are you? he asked calmly but his sword stayed solid in his hand.

Cody looked over Light when she regained consciousness. Was she alright? She was a bit surprised when Light suddenly jumped up, shifting into a leopard and took off. She turned to follow her, but changed her mind at the sound of an unfamiliar voice.

H-hello
Who are you?

Cody turned around to see Shadow standing, sword now in his hand, and a young teenage girl. The girl was small and looked rather afraid. There was no way she could have killed all those monks... although, Cody did herself have some pretty spectacular powers... She allowed any doubt to wash away and moved so she was standing beside Shadow

Yes, who are you? And why are you here? she asked, a near growl escaping her throat, tiger instincts taking over. She didn't shift into a tiger, for she would not be able to converse that way.

Selene tensed when the humal spun around and a sword materialized in his hand. He did lower the sword when he saw her, but that wasn't extremely comforting, for it was still there in his hand.

Who are you? His voice was calm, but Selene was having a hard time relaxing now. The sword told her he didn't trust her... wait, why should he? She had been hiding in a church where the monks had all recently been murdered. She wouldn't trust her if she were in his position either.

Yes, who are you? And why are you here? The girl was clearly much lest trusting. Her tone was harsh and something almost like a growl was heard. Tiger clearly wasn't merely the animal she could shift into. She had its instincts about her. The fire in her eyes was apparent and Selene could tell she probably wanted to rip her from limb to limb.

I'm Selene... Selene Helios. I was praying earlier... she trailed off, wondering if the two would want to hear about what had happened. Maybe. Simply sticking with "I was praying earlier" would not ease their suspicions at all.

I was praying and suddenly I was pushed into that hiding place. After that, all I could hear was the monks crying out in pain and some in fear. I don't know what happened... and then I passed out. I woke up a couple minutes ago. That is why I'm here...
