Pain Is Only A Pulse

shadow could tell light had sensed something but he put his knees up and rested his chin on them looking away from both girls and hummed but paused when light asked he shrugged

shadow sighed getting up "i am gonna go down and practice" he said before turning and walking down the stairs not trust the irons affect to have left yet.

Light decided to talk out loud. Sending messages through the mind drained her.
Family is very imortant. Sadly mine all died when I was very yong, but I do know what love is like and how it feels to have it taken from you
Light thought a moment on that last question absently petting COdy.
No.... There is always a risk of exploding...Its happened once to me and I almost killed myself.

Cody sighed again as she listened to Light's reply. She had known deep down that that was the answer she would get... she had just hoped otherwise. She closed her eyes as Light continued stroking her fur.
I was afraid you'd say that... I guess I'll just have to work on that, huh?

shadow leaned back and slid down the wall of stone at the base of the tower. his legs spread at a 45 degree angle his hands between his legs on the soil. he felt his magic fill his limbs as it returned it burned his senses slightly. the power seeping down into the ground and small tremors started as the dirt began to slit apart to let the black shadow made plant a few of the stems twined around his fingers but the main one grew straight and tall stopping at eye level and shadow blinked as a bud began to form and in a sudden explosion as the rose bloomed but he could hear the footsteps of light and cody coming down the staircase he jerked his hands from the ground ears alert as he drew his hand across the flower and it began to wisp away and when it was finally gone he sighed and leaned back against the wall

shadow sigh thankfully she didn't seemed to have noticed but he pushed the thought away before light could find it
"better" he said looking up at the sky his hand lazily raising to show a black flame lite on his first and second fingers to show his power had returned seemingly undamaged by the iron that had earlier pained him so. "thanks again for saving me..."

shadow smiled but his eyebrows furled "no no no i'm fine really light how would you have known its not like i just walk around saying look at me if i touch iron to long i may burn to death." and he sighed as cody chuckled "and kid if you stay with us there is a very high chance of getting hurt yourself"

Light replied quietly and placed her head in her hands.

Cody's eyes were slowly starting to droop closed when Shadow's words reached her ears. She shifted into her human form, her eyes the same bright green as they were when she was a tiger. She ran her fingers through her short hair and a small, semi dark smile stretched across her face.
Do I look like I care?

shadow couldn't help but smile at Cody. he breathed through his nose and looked up at the sky one last time before getting up grumbling and stretched "wanna go?"

Cody smiled back at Shadow. She was in a much better mood than she had been when she had been walking up the stairs of the bell tower. Go where? she responded.

((did he mean go somewhere or go as in spar? cuz if he meant spar, then her response was a sarcastic one))

Light stayed quiet. Her mnd was drifting off into a dark blackness. Without another though Light had fallen asleep.

shadow smiled at light "i'll carry her when we figure where" he stood in front of the girls absently rubbing his wrists
