Pain Is Only A Pulse

Light perched herself upon a ledge at the highest point of the bell tower. Looking down she watched humans running along almost like little worker ants. Light couldnt help but smile.
Dark painful images shot through her head of how easly it would be to snach one human up and..
Light cut the thoughts off short.Light reached behind herself and grabbed a bottle with shaky hands. Light opened it up and took out a red oval shaped rock. Sticking it in her mouth Light swallowed it. Slowly her mind became numb and the shaking stopped.

Light then moved back into the bell tower unknowingly pushing the Bottle off the bell tower.
She slid down one of the towers cold walls closing her eyes she let her mind wander.

as a bottle fell his sword materialized in his palm and he sliced at the passing glass which broke neatly in the wake of the sword and for a moment hung suspended in shadows eyes and as it crushed down on the earth he looked up towards the source of the glass to see the balcony of the bell tower. he shook his head and jumped a few feet off the ground hitting the tower wall as daggers materialized in him hands on for each palm and hi began to climb (cause hes too cool for stairs XD) his converse scrapping across the hard stone of the bell tower.

Light heard scaping against the outer wall of the bell tower. SHe stood shakaly and moved to lean over the side. It was Shadow climbing up the tower.
Are you out of your mind Shadow!!
Light called down to him.
Does it hurt your pride that much to climb up some stares!!
Light sighed and backed up and leaned against the wall again.

shadow rolled his eyes as he made it to the outcrop and swung his legs over the edge and came to a halt "have you ever fallen down a flight over them? you go down slowly breaking something every step down" he sighed at lights slumped body against the wall "at least i have a chance to save myself if i fall off a wall"

Light looked up at him.
I would save my self...
She shook her head.
How'd you even know I was up her anyways?
She stood up and leaned against the ledge looking at him.

Cody slowly walked up the stairs of the bell tower, tears streaming down her creamy white cheeks. She stopped and leaned against the wall, trying to regulate her breathing. She sniffed as she wiped some of the tears off her face. She looked up toward the topmost floor of the tower. It was her sanctuary. The one place she could go and release everything without having to worry about being seen. That was when she heard a girl's voice yelling at someone else. Are you kidding me? Two people? she thought silently. She had not often ran into anyone at the top of the bell tower, much less two people.

Shifting into her tiger form, she continued walking up. Maybe some contact would be good for her. She continued on until she could see the girl and boy on the bell tower. She stopped where she was and realized that tears were now staining her fur. Crap. Why always when someone's nearby? Cody remained standing where she was and pondered whether to approach the girl or turn back and leave.

Light shifted her eyes from shadow to the stares of the tower. Someone was there she could feel it.
Why dont you come out, maybe we could talk about why your crying? Light called. She was trying to be good and not go too far into Cody's mind.
Dont worry, we're not going to hurt you.

Cody's ears perked up at the girl's words. Not only had she been known, she was known to be crying. She walked up to the two and growled low. She then shifted back into her human form so she could talk to the two.

"And what if I don't want to talk about why I'm crying?" she said sharply. She brushed more tears off her face, hating that they could be seen by the two standing in front of her.

"Don't be afraid, Cody. I'll keep you safe" No! No, no, no, no! More tears pushed past the barrier she was trying to put up. She dropped to her knees, unable to hold the barrier and she started shaking uncontrollably. I'm sorry Kale... It was my fault... I'm sorry... She shifted into her falcon form and launched herself on the ground. She landed on the tip top of the bell tower and stayed there, ruffling her feathers.

Cody glared down at the two that were still standing below her. She was still sad, but she was angry at them for knowing that and seeing her tears.

OOC: gonna try out shadow's accent its not bad spelling i am just typing it how it sounds

"aaaaaaaaaanyway you'll want me to try and get her down righ?"
he said looking up at the bird. but first he pointed down "your bottel fell and you know you can come to me if you have any probems" he had a worried look on his face as he spoke the words he look back over the veiw legs dangling from the balcony as he more quietly said "so want me to get her?"

Light sighed and looked at shadow.
Thank you for the offer but I dont think my problems can be fixed, now on the other hand.
Light looked up at Cody.
I think it would be best to worry about her.
She looked back down with a smile.
If you would be so kind and try to get her back down here, so maybe we can help. That would be nice.

Shadow gave a swift smile and got up giving light a little bow "as milady asks " he jumped from the tower feeling his human form float away his wings beating he sailed up the girl may be a falcon but he was to and a gyr the largest of all falcons. he flew to the girl his wings beating harder to keep him level as he wrapped his claws on her wings, a hold that couldn't be broken he whispered "struggle and you'll get hurt" with a few flaps he was soaring back down to light.

Light shook her head seeing shadow with the smaller falcon in his talons. For a moment her vison blured. She stepped back from the edge placing her face in her hands. A pulse went through her spine. Legs shaking she sat down on the ground.
Breath,and wait..
Light wispered to herself.

Cody didn't react when the male -now a falcon larger than herself- flew up and wrapped his talons around her wings. She sighed and focused on remaining in the form of a falcon so he wouldn't drop her on their way down. She huffed at him, but kept her frustration from becoming more. Shifting into a wolf now would not be a very good idea.

During their descent, she noticed the girl had her face in her hands. Wonder what's wrong with her. she thought silently. The girl sat down and she seemed to be shaking. Before Cody could feel any sympathy for her, she shut out the emotions like always. She couldn't care for anyone after what had happened. She was not going to feel anything toward anyone only to lose them again. She remained motionless in the male's talons, focusing all her energy on not shifting back into tiger or human form as the ground got closer and closer to her.

Light shook her head and waved her hand at him.
Im fine just hadnt had much to eat so my blood sugars low
Light lied. Her hold self and a sinking it to a deep dark place. She blinked several times. Finnally she got herself under control.She sighed.
See all better. She looked up at shadow with a thin smile and the leaned over to see Cody.
So where were we?

Cody allowed herself to shift back into human form the second her feet touched the ground. She wiped the last of the tears off her face and blocked out the sadness. She listened to the two speak and shook her head. This girl wasn't telling the truth. Something was up, and it wasn't blood sugar. Cody simply brushed it off, deciding it wasn't worth her time. She didn't even know these two anyway.
So where were we? the girl said, leaning over to her. Cody simply shook her head again. She wasn't going to give in and talk to anyone about her crying. And she wasn't going to waste her time with any relationships.
We still are where we were. At the top of the bell tower. she replied sarcastically.

Light narrowed her eyes at shadow.
Some times a lie can keep others from getting hurt. Light stated shortly standing up. She walked over to where Cody was at.
You dont have to tell me anything.
She shrugged.
I was only trying to help.

Cody just glared at Shadow's response to her sarcasm.
You don't look much older than me kid she dragged out the last word, annoyed at the fact that he had called her kid.
And I didn't ask for your help. She started to walk away. She stopped and thought for a second.
It doesn't hurt to care about yourself once in a while. Even if it does hurt others. You can't lie forever, you know. The truth will come out sometime. Cody didn't look back at the two as she spoke and didn't move after.

Light watched her.

Light resited the poem softly.

Light walked over and picked up her bag.
She then shifter into a white owl.
Flapping her wings she gracefully lifted of the ground. Surrounded by her many white feathers was a single black one. She hovered for a moment then swooped past shadow up to the bell. Light landed softly on a piller above it.

Cody turned to see the girl shift into a white owl and then fly up to the top of the tower, landing on the pillar above the bell. She sighed. The girl's words rang true.
No, I can't. I can't care...
She shut her eyes and tried to stop the emotions. It wasn't working and her heart reached out to the girl. It was times like this she wished she could transform into a falcon at will.
No! Stop it. No relationships. No caring. No more.
Something about this girl really hit Cody and she couldn't help doing what she did next. Pulling out her flute, she played the most soothing melody she knew. It was a lullaby that her mother had sung to her whenever she was fussy.
The soft flowing tune was said to be an enchantment able to calm and soothe any soul.

Cody stopped playing and looked at Shadow, pondering his age.
I want to say either my age or a year or two younger. But you asked. So it's obviously not that.
She looked him over a moment longer and then ignored the thought. She returned to the soft melody she had been playing before. Something in her kept her determined to help Light.
What if she doesn't want help? Does she even need help? What am I doing?

Light let out a soft hoot. She listen to them for a moment then changed back into her human form. With a sigh she slid down the bell and landed on her feet with a light thud.
Does it really matter about how old everyone is?
She said rolling her eyes at the both of them. She felt better, the music had calmed her mind.
