"You ought to worry about yourself FIRST, humal. If you do what I do, you'll live a lot longer than you're currently likely to." Kai barked back at Shadow. "But if you REALLY want to force her to protect you, AND herself, since you ARE wounded, I guess that's up to you. I've got these humans under control, all by myself, so do whatever you want... just don't get in anyone's way. Especially not mine, since I kill anyone who does." Kai warned Shadow.

"Now... about those little targets..." Kai muttered to himself as he turned, and prepared to cut his one thread of twine...

The humans drew closer... closer... closer still... PERFECT!!! Kai thought to himself. They have NO idea that my twine is there... this will be fun... Kai thought, as the humans entered attacking range.

Just a little closer... Kai's arm muscles tensed as he now applied slight pressure on the twine, with his Kunai, but did not cut just yet. He fell silent again...

The humans were now in position... Kai cut the one thread of twine he was holding... The humans heard nothing, but they stopped moving now, because most of them were now dead. I dare anyone else to figure out how that works! Kai thought to himself. Now for the remaining forty, that weren't hit by my technique... Kai prepared to throw his needles...

Kraft rolled his eyes, why was he with those two again ? a yes fight, human to kill, skull to break... The black wolf turned back to where the human's screams came from, Kai's trap should have work. He growled, he won't let the guy have all the fun. In one jump Kraft went between the trees, turning around the frightened humans that didn't know what had happen to their fellow. -Well, it sure was a good job.- Kraft lowered on the ground, ears back, snarling quietly. There was this huge man that was trying to calmed the other, and brought them together.

-Too bad for him, I won't let that happen- The big wolf jumped out of the bushes, right at the man's back, and seeked his fang in his throat, tightening his grip has the man tryed to go away. In some second it was dead. His black fur stained by blood the wolf glared at the other human, they were aiming for him, their hands shaking while holding their gun. "You better lower that" the wolf said, fearless, approaching those men, who were stuned, -a wolf shouldn't be talking- that's what were their thoughts, he knew it, getting closed, he finished with glowing red eyes "And I'll make you die quickly."

Emmelyn had just been walking into the tavern to meet a friend when the fight broke out. She was now standing at the back of the group of humans, looking at the many that had just died in an invisible attack. She immediately started looking for any sign of a trap or the humal that had been in the bar. She was now worried for the forty left standing. She knew that she should be more worried about herself, but she hated seeing people die. As she frantically searched for a trap, her crystal blue eyes fell upon the friend she had come to meet. The silent, unseen attack had killed him. That did it for Emmelyn. She ran back toward the tavern, not caring if the other humans thought her a coward. Not many noticed her anyway. They were all too busy searching for how the deaths had occurred. She did hear some commenting "of course Emmelyn's the one to run back inside." But she didn't care. She was furious and knew what she wanted to do.

Entering the tavern, she quickly scanned the place. Once she was sure there were no other humans in the place, she shifted into fox form. She then crept out of the tavern, making sure to remain unseen by the humans. She ran away from the tavern and the humans for a minute or so before veering back. If she were to be in the humans' line of sight, she would now be in front of them all. She slowed down and walked toward the tree she was sure she had seen the humal run to. In her fox form she could smell the humal. There were two others with him. She slowly crept closer and closer, figuring one of them must have set the trap. She stopped when she could see them. She watched as one of the humals -a wolf- ran toward the humans. She winced at the vicious attack, but then she realized that she hated the one the wolf attacked. Grr. Stop doing that. People are going to die. Get used to it." She silently cursed herself for being so caring.

Her anger subsided as she watched the three humals. Even though they had killed her friend, she didn't want to hurt them back as much anymore. And even if she did, she wouldn't stand a chance in fox form. She instead sat and watched, not entirely sure how they would react to her. She wondered how aggressive they would be toward her. Even though she was a shapeshifter, she was still a human. And humals seemed to have a huge disliking for humans. "It's not like humans have exactly been the kindest to them though." She told herself. She sat patiently and waited, hoping that they wouldn't be too aggressive toward her.

shadow growled and got up slowly fighting off the black waves of sleep he began to follow the girls sent till he saw her up ahead at a stream he got to her and slid down a tree sighing "the others are fighting humans i came to see how you are out here..." he trailed off his eyes drooping and his sword seemed to burn up into ash and vanish like his gun had earlier. he sighed again his wounds almost healed he needed to sleep before the female could answer his question he was asleep...

Light looked over to see shadow sliding down a tree.

"the others are fighting humans i came to see how you are out here..."

She smiled seeing him fall to sleep in a flash. She walked over sruffed his hair.
Your very over protective, I'm fine.

She turned and started off, but looked at some bushes.
Roskoe! Would you like to come with me to the river?
Light started off towards the river again.

She finally made it to the stream. Neaking down she held up Shadows shirt lookig it over. Light then found a smooth rock and placed the shirt into the water.

She started rubbing the rock on the shirt blood started to flow down the stream. When she had gotten all the blood from the shirt, Light rung it out and set it on the shore to dry then started on the jacket.

Roskoe heard his name. He swiftly turned and blushed. He walked out of the bushes and slowly followed her. He walked to her side.

"How did you know my name?... Who are you?"

Roskoe watched her movements.

"What are ya doin' anyway?"

Kraft had a big smile on his bloody face. He lost count of how many humans he had killed, but it had been fun. He walked slowly between the trees, searching survivor, the trapper had done a good job as well... He grinned, but he quickly growled as he scented another thing. Ears back the wolf approached the living thing, who smelled like a fox, he noticed now that he was closer. He showed his teeth and jumped on the fox. Snarling at only a few inches of the fox muzzle, above the smaller form, his big claws digging the ground on each side of her, he said with an ironic tone "What are you doing here foxy ? It's not a safe place ya know."

Ember's ears twitched when she heard the sound of fighting. She was already on edge, being so close to a human tavern and all, but now she was totally scared. She sniffed the air and winced. She hated the smell of blood, espasially human blood. And there was a lot of it. She quickened her pace, wanting to get away from the humans as quickly as possible. She had been able to avoid humans for so long, she was terrified of them catching her and sending her back to her "owner".
As Ember continued to walk along the river bank, her paws making no sound as she jogged along. Suddenly, Ember heard voices up ahead. She quickly jumped up into a tree with and looked around the area. Finally she saw them. A beautiful woman and a male humal. Ember twitched her ears as she tried to hear what was being said, but all that came was mumbling. Then out of nowhere, a dog came into the view.
'What is going on here?', Ember thought to herself.
She was tence. She didn't know if the girl was freind or foe. She didn't want to go back to her "owner" and she didn't know if this female would capture her. Finally, Ember thought it best to just stay in the tree until all the danger had past. Somewhere off in the distance, a battle was taking place. But Ember didn't let that get to her. It was not her fight, so why should she get involved? She got comfortable on the branch by stretching her paws out and folding her hands behind her head.
"Something tell me this is going to be a long night."

Emmelyn had noticed the wolf before he jumped at her, but thought better than to try anything stupid like attacking him or running. Being much smaller than him, she knew that attacking would've gotten her killed and he would've easily overtaken her if she had decided to run. She was careful to not make any sudden movements as the wolf stood over her, growling. She growled back, but then remembered that she was the one pinned to the ground. "I gathered that." she stated, responding to his comment on it not being safe. "I'm here because I was meeting a friend and a fight broke out. I came outside, saw the huge amount of humans die and got curious." She contemplated leaving out that her friend had been killed, but then thought better of it. It wasn't a good idea to hide anything in her position. "I was going to just leave, but I saw my friend dead. I was enraged and was ready to take on whoever had set the trap. Changed my mind after. He's not exactly the kindest to other races anyway." She stared at the wolf, instinct telling her to growl at him again. She held back, not wanting to worsen the situation.

Ember almost fell out of the tree with shock when she heard her name. For a split second, she thought her "master" had finally found her. But, she knew that was impossible and the shock subsided. But not entirely. She gazed down at the small odd group and realized that it was the woman who had spoken. She growled and laid her ears flat on her skull. Something wasn't right, she didn't know what it was, but something in the back of her mind was telling her to run.
Little did she know that only a few feet away a man was watching her, a gun in his hand. He saw the collar around her neck and knew exactly what she was. He knew that slave owners paid a high price for the return of their run-aways. He wasn't going to kill her, just injure her. He cocked the gun and fired.
Ember heard the gun, but was to slow to do anything. She cried out in pain as the bullet buried itself into her left leg. Ember lost her balance on the branch and fell in a bloody heap to the ground. She winced as she tried to stand to run away, but the pain was to intense and she fell back down. She heard the man make his way to her, laughing as he went.
"I'll make a fortune with you, slave," he said.
But Ember wasn't about to let that happen. As he got closer, Ember let out a roar and launched herself at the human. Her fangs found his throat and she bit down hard, killing the man. As she came back down, she landed on her wounded leg and cried out in pain.

OOC: Sorry it's long, but I thought it would be fun to add some excitment

shadow jumped up at the sound of a gunshot he whirled around his hair falling into his eyes as his own gun materialized in his hand. he aimed for the the already fallen man and saw ember he dropped his gun and it wisped away he hurried to ember's side "dont move" he said not thinking that she may attack him he turned his back on her "hey blond girl" he called without he still had yet to learn lights name and motioned her over. shadow grabbed ember's leg and lifted it he made a dagger with his magic and jabbed it in ember's leg flicking out the bullet . his hand entered his pocket and he wrapped the wound in a piece of cloth he kept there. there where black and slightly red spots all over the cloth, his own blood he always saw fit to keep something to tie off wounds since he got hurt a lot....

Pain.
Even though it was her leg that had been shot, her whole body ached. She had moved away from the dead human and was now laying on the ground with her bloody leg held in her hands. She heard footsteps coming closer to her and fear began to take over. She was blind with pain and didn't realize Shadow only wanted to help. He had grabbed her leg and jammed the dagger into in, flicking the bullet out.
Ember cried out in pain as hot tears streamed down her face. Her thoughts raced back to when she was a slave and was beaten mercilessly. She didn't know what was happening, all she did know was that she had to get away. Ember opened her eyes and saw a male figure standing over her. She screamed and dug her claws into his arms. She aimed for his throat with her teeth and lunged.

Kraft stared at the fox. "I don't want to know about your little life. What I want to know is : are you gonna be in my way or not, human's friend." he said growling. But he was stopped by the sound of a gun shot. He lifted his head listening carefuly. Were there still some people who were alive ? Soon after he heard screams of pain, girly one. He thought two seconds before deciding to go take a look. He gave the foxy a look that had made more than one shivered and left it there.
Trotted to reach the source of those screams he ended up near a river. What a surprise... the girl and the doggy humal were there, as well as a real dog, and the screaming thing... A bloody corpse was lying not far from the shadow guy and her. That girl was weird, probably an experience from the scientist...
The black wolf watched the scene, sitting not too far away from them. -she took a bullet huh - but what happened next was really interesting, in a second the girl was digging her paws in shadow arms and was reaching for his throat. Kraft didn't make a move.

Emmelyn stared back at the wolf standing over her, not afraid, but not comfortable either. She didn't have a chance to respond to him before a gun shot sounded. She shivered at the look the wolf shot at her before leaving toward the direction the sound had come from. She stood up and looked around. The first humal she had seen that day had left. She watched the others carefully, knowing she was in a dangerous position. She was human after all. "Should I go over there too?" She wondered silently. "I don't want to seem like I'm following him..." Emmelyn kicked herself mentally for her indecisiveness. Looking once more toward the others, she decided to head toward the gunshot and screams as well.
She made sure to take a different path than the wolf, not wanting to upset him. She could tell he wouldn't hesitate to kill her if he saw killing her fitting. She was soon under a bush, watching the scene playing out. A blond lady was by the river, a dog next to her. And the humal she saw earlier was helping a rusty red-haired girl. Her skin tone had an orange-red hue to it. She looked human, but Emmelyn knew something had been changed in her. Then she caught scent of the blood. She noticed the corpse on the ground, a gun in the dead man's hand. She looked back when she heard the girl scream again. The girl was attacking the humal. Emmelyn started to move, but then thought better of her decision to help. The shape-shifting human didn't yet know if she was accepted by those in front of her and exposing herself so quickly, even to help, wasn't a smart idea.

Before her fangs could find their target, Ember felt hands push her to the ground. She struggled as she felt her hands being pinned. She growled deeply until she heard a gentle voice in her ear. Ember knew she could trust the woman behind the voice and she began to relax. Her leg throbbed, making it hard for her to consontrate on breathing. Her mind was starting to go numb, however, Ember was able to overcome it. She laid still and breathed deeply.
She couldn't talk through all the pain, but she was able to think. 'Why did this happen? Why me? I never wanted this. I never should have come here...never should have run away.'

Kai gave a sigh of satisfaction knowing that the humans were no match for him. He noticed Kraft kill some humans, and saw the fox Kraft picked on, and heard the gunshot that attracted the attention of many. I really don't want to deal with a crowd that I shouldn't kill right now. Kai thought to himself. So he went to wait at the meeting place that he and Ryll had agreed upon, earlier that week. It was in an underground cavern... nobody would bother them there, while they would try to figure out how to find the others they got separated from, a month ago.

shadow nodded his thanks to light and finished the last wrap of the cloth and tied it off hoping it would stop most of the blood flow he put her feet up on a root of the tree she had fallen from he went to her head "but i have special blood and it doesn't just heal me"
he opened embers mouth and bit down hard on his finger letting a few drops fall into her mouth. he knew that it would take away the pain in her limb and heal her wounds quickly but she would be tired after since his blood healed by sapping the persons energy.

Kraft frowned, it wasn't fun, Light saved the doggy. -Healing blood huh, interesting-.The wolf walked to the river, drinking the fresh water. He then washed himself, getting rid of the blood that was all over his fur. Grinning as he could taste the human blood, too bad there was no more people alive. Catching a familiar scent Kraft barked : "Come out of those bushes foxy". Ignoring the dog that wasn't far from him the wolf approached the hide of the human's friend. "I'm not patient ya know" he growled.

Emmelyn watched curiously as the female pinned the fox-girl and calmed her down. Then the humal let a few drops of his blood fall into the girl's mouth. Peculiar. Very peculiar. I've never seen anything like that. she thought silently. She was pulled from her thoughts when the wolf who had had her pinned earlier barked. She looked in his direction to see him padding toward her. She wasn't quite sure how to respond. Fear took over for a second, but she overcame that. She finally decided the best thing to do would be to come out of the bushes. Emmelyn clambered out and stared into the wolf's eyes. "What do you want?" she growled back, deciding that she was not going to allow herself to appear weak any longer.

Ember didn't know what had been dropped into her mouth, all she did know that it was working. The bullet wound suddenly went numb and the rest of her body did the same. She was finally able to open her eyes and see clearly what was going on. New smells had reached her nose, but she didn't care. She was actually starting to feel quite tired...
Thank you....and I'm sorry for....attacking you," Ember said to the two unknown people hovering above her.
Her eye lids felt like iron doors and she was unable to keep open them. As she began to fall asleep, she thought she had spoken the last words, but they were only in her mind,'Please, don't let the humans find me...I don't want to be a slave anymore...I want to be...free.'

Fior walked into the tavern(or wherever you people are)and sat down.

(Sorry for a short post but I have no clue what the heck is going on or the setting.Anyways its great to be rping with you guys!Shadow!Light!)

IC - Kaede was headed to the tavern for a drink. The thought of drowning her sorrows was quite inviting, even if it meant her retrieval would be that much easier. Pfft. He's not coming after me. she thought silently. She walked around the building to the front door and stopped dead. Bodies. So many dead bodies. Something had happened here. She walked into the tavern to see a blond girl with wings sprouting from her back sitting at the bar. She cautiously walked up to the girl and looked her over. "Sorry to bother you, miss..." she closed her eyes and looked into the girl's past for any memory consisting of someone calling her by her name. "...Ardra, but do you know what happened outside?" She didn't have time to wait for a response. Something was going on nearby. Closing her eyes yet again, the recent past flashed before her eyes. The humans dropping dead, the other races banding together, the river, the slave girl attacked... She opened her eyes once more and looked at the girl she was beside. "I'm sorry to have bothered you. I shouldn't have asked you anything before I knew...." Before I knew that I was going to be able to see the past of this place. I hate that that part of my power is so inconsistent... "Someone killed the humans outside, and I know where they went. I'm going to go see them and see what's going on. If you want to come..." she stopped mid sentence, turned, and scurried out of the tavern, her shyness taking over.

She got to the river fairly quickly and saw the group of people. Her eyes fell upon the fox-girl lying on the ground and the two others by her. She felt the need to look into the girl's past and so she did. Opening her eyes again, she looked at the girl empathetically; she knew how she felt. To a certain extent anyway. She had been treated as a slave by her uncle, but she had been born this way, not forced into it. She saw the collar around the girl's neck and understood the pain connected to it. She stepped forward, making her presence known, even though all her instincts were screaming at her to run. "He-hello. I can get the collar off her, if you'd like." she said to the two by the girl. She didn't know what they would say, but she wanted to help this girl in any way she could, even if it was just to rid her of her collar. It was only for this reason that she did not listen to her instincts. I'll just leave once I'm done. she thought to herself as she awaited the response.
